Anyone had any problems with the st. criox mojo rods?  They are just about what I'm looking for in a rod.  What about the abu Verita's rods?  Right now its a toss up on the two. Any suggestions? I'm going to buy a couple rods real soon.

I think I'm qualified to reply on this post. ;D I have nine of the mojo rods, and for the money, I love them. The only problem I have had with ONE of the rods is the reel seat screw comes loose. I have fished a whole season with them and these are the only rods I will buy right now. When I want to step up to a better class rod (and spend a lot of money), I will. But right now, the mojo's are great for me. From yanking 4lb largies out of thick grass with the froggin rod to finessing 5lb smallmouth on LSC on the tubes and grubs rod, they are all good.

Yeah, they are a nice rod for the money.  No trouble with the eyes mr. skeeter?

I have 3 of em. overall there a pretty good rod. at the beginning of the season I broke the tip off of one the first time i used it flipping a 4lb largie in the boat....st.croix replaced the rod for free and waved the return shipping. I also had the ceramic part of one of the eyes come out early in the season.....i just stuck it back in and havent had a problem with it since.

They're pretty stiff, but they work great for some techniques. The 7ft and longer rods are pretty heavy. But they're sensetive for the price and get the job done!

I'm gonna be upgrading this winter and will prob have one of these for sale if my dad doesn't snatch it up first!

I have two of them myself.  I agree, great for the $.
One of my rods did have an eye pop in the middle of the pole but I used silicone to hold it in place and its been good to go.

I'm glad to see this post.  I have been thinking about buying a 7 foot medium action spinning rod, and the 7 foot 11 flippin stick.  Glad to hear that the guys who have them are for the most part happy with them.

I have the 7' MH moderate (Crankbait) rod.  It has very good sensitivity, a forgiving but not too soft tip, and plenty of backbone for deep crankbaits and lipless baits.  I've used it for 2 seasons and have no problems with durability.  I use it primarily with a Quantum Tour Edition 7.0 burner and it balances well.  It is a little heavy when compared to the St Croix Legend Tournament series but you can't beat it for the money.

I have been looking at the Abu Rods at Cabela's and they seem like well balanced sticks.

I'm pretty sure I am going with the mojos. Thanks

I noticed that dude. Especially on the spinning rods. But it does have the feel that i'm looking for.  $100 price is nice.

I learned this year that the 7'H Frog rod doubles as an awesome swim jig rod!  The rod loads up nice and you don't have to give a big rippin' hookset, just keep burning it back.  The lack of "action" in the tip does make it hard to cast a long distance into a strong (15mph+) wind though.  I'll take the trade off.
