The annual Michigan-Michigan State "Rusty Reel" Walleye Tournament is fast approaching. We're currently looking for another 2-3 boat volunteers for the tournament on April 17th (Sunday). Boat volunteers are responsible for taking two students from the University of Michigan for the 8 hour tournament. You can choose your own spots, or take recommendations from students. You will be reimbursed for gas and are allowed to fish.

The essentials:
April 17th
7:00 am-3:00 pm (pending ramp traffic and weather)
Limited to the Detroit River
All participants may keep their fish
AMERICAN side only (most students don't have licenses)
Launching from Wyandotte

Contact Cameron at: ckortes@umich.edu, here, or at 616-745-8260 (leave a message if I don't pick up)

Checking to see if my truck will be working by then (broke). If so, I'll help. We need a few more boaters please.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I'm in if you need help still. Man, have to leave the house by 0650.... wish they were all so convenient! I'll see if Goetsch is available, too.

Someone in the organization should contact the powers that be at the West Michigan Walleye Club. An event like this should be right up their alley. The Club is quite large and I know a number of their members fish the Detroit River.
They are having a tournament on the Detroit River on the 16th of April the day before this event.

Here's there website: http://www.westmichiganwalleyeclub.org/
