Hello all,

When Flipping for Bass how are you suppose to hold/pinch the line between your fingers?

Should I be pinching it with my index finger and thumb and kind of guiding it to my target or should i be letting it glide threw my fingers/thumb somehow?

Thanks for any info

Cy

I don't know how others do it but I just grab the line with my finger and let it slide along my finger as I flip the bait out.

If your flipping, there isn't any need to let line slide through your fingers
Tim Horton has a nice video on pitching and flipping, he just hooks the line with his index finger and pulls and guides in back slowly to allow the bait to enter the water slowly. I don't flip much up here with the clear water but then to pitch baits at longer targets.

good video.. most times around here u just pitch. im sure alot of people have dif opinions on things but i can only think few lakes on west side where u can just hunker down and "flip" if im fishing shallow ( which i do alot) ill pitch and its like a catapault kinda deal where i never touch the line or bait..just pull the bait out water w my rod n swing it into next shallow target..but i know the sides of my boat and how to position it .. if i flip ill use my pointer and middle finger to pull line and dunk it again..
