Anybody attended the free GPS seminar at Gander Mountain(Novi) today?

Wonder who put it on.  I talked to 3 guys at novi about the lowrance gen2 and they were clueless

A guy named Lance Valentine. He had a booth at the Ultimate fishing show. Just wondering if anybody went. It's a ongoing Seminar in various locations, www.walleye101.com. One tonite in Taylor. I missed last nite but may go tonite .

He had a booth. I think he sells gps maps. Might be worth checking out

I have been to one of Lance's 8 hour seminars where he went for probably 9 hours and not a sole left early. He is really good and knows his stuff. He usually has a ton of information and the trick is remembering it all. I took copious notes and still couldn't decipher all them like I wanted to.
For any West Siders the West Michigan Walleye Club is sponsonring a Lowrance workshop, just might be Lance, on February 18th. There is limited space and there is a charge of around $30 or so. I believe it is going to be held in a church in Jenison, but I can get more info. if anyone is interested. I have my money in and plan on going.

Known Lance for years.  He's a TOP walleye pro, and Lowrance sponsored.  Part of his deal with them is that he does seminars and shows... he is probably the top guy in the country when it comes to Lowrance products and how to use them effectlively.  If you have Lowrance or are thinking about getting Lowrance, Lance it the guy you want to talk to/listen to.  I even called him on his cell phone from a friend's boat on Muskegon Lake and he walked us thru all our questions from HIS boat in sitting his driveway!

As for Gander... they do very little product training on things like fish finders and GPS units.  Martin worked there for several years and not once did he get any formal (or even informal) training.  Everything he knows he learned by playing with the displays and reading about them online.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

I highly recommend the Lance Valentine seminars!  I have been to several of them and he really explains everything in great but easy to understand detail.  Check out his DVDs as well.
