Got Fish??

This fall should be a vary interesting season. With the lack of rain this summer. The majority of my contacts out and around the state. Have noticed that if you got water, you have a good chance too see birds. Small ponds on those hot spots this year may be dry. I know that my scout in Jackson told me last week. That farms with irrigation, are the areas where most of the birds have been sited. Kalkaska area has had a descent amount of rain this year, and the flocks are scattered. North of Waters, it is a topical year. Generally when we have  hotter than normal weather, the insect population increases. Witch is good for insect eatting animals like turkeys.

Sources southeast of Travers City. Tell me once the rain came this late summer, and greened everything up. The area is crawling with birds. Freinds in Kalkaska, Tell me with all that dry weather in June and July. Birds were on feeders. Now that weather greened up the woods. There are less birds on feeders, but there are birds everywhere. WessNileVierus is of great concern this fall. Make sure you take some insect repellent into the woods.

I have seen major flocks of birds in my area.  Even got a pic of a white one.  Washtenaw/Livingston counties.  Got drawn for fall hunt.  Can't wait!

Got Fish??

Old friends in Dundee are seeing birds in spots. Where they are not normally seen. Right in their driveway. She mistakenly hit the bird. When she opened the side door of their home. They live just west Cabela's

Got Fish??

With all the birds I saw LaborDay weekend this should be a good fall season. The top half of the lower is closed again this fall, but there are a lot of birds north of Midland. Next spring should bring a lot of filled tags. Everyone I talk to in south lower Mich. Tells me the birds are crawling out of the wood work. I'm told filling a tag should be know problem. Mostly hens are being seen with young. A few toms mixed in.

Remember, that turkey hunters will be sharing the woods. With many other type's of hunting sportsmen this fall. Please be under standing this season. That way we all make it home for the holidays. Just a few weeks to go. Bow season, smallgame and turkey season, may run in to each other. In your area.
