Dad and I are heading down to Gull Lake to fish for the weekend. We have never fished this lake. Any help you could give us would be much appreciated. thanks!

The water is usually 20+ foot clear. The bass can be real shallow to real deep. Makes for a challenging lake that is hard to get too bored due to the variety of things you can try there.

Scattered weed clumps with lots of points and some gravel. Islands. Sunken islands. Interesting lake. I've caught algal-type 'weed' strands in the lake over 40 foot deep. Some bass are caught by open water salmon/trout anglers. Some bass are caught really shallow despite the crystal clear water. Get there early, you might get some topwater action at times but usually, I have done best on suspended lures and finesse during the summer.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
