Was looking to get some new top quality rainwear and was wondering what you guys recammend and where I can get it at a good price?

You would have to really convince me otherwise that my 100 m/p/h gear isn't the best since sliced bread. I love it. A little heavy for hot summer days so I also carry frog togs which are great if its hot.

Helly Hanson(sp?) not sure where you can get a "good price" try e-bay. I bought Frog Toggs for $40 when I left my good ones at home, used those for 4 days and  really liked them.

Check out www.froggtoggs.com.  I have the Pro Angler and the Elite style.

The Pro Angler type is ultra light and keeps you very dry.  They can tear easily so you have to take care when you use them.  The pants will go first.  My jacket is three years old and has no tears or holes.

The Elite type is much more durable and as expected is more expensive.  I found mine at Gander Mtn. for under $100.  I consider it one of my best purchases last year.

By the way - they are not my sponsor so consider this an honest opinion.

I see the frogg toggs elite rainsuit and bibbs in all sizes on ebay for $54.99 buy-it-now plus $8.99 shipping new. Thats like a third of the price so I think I wil go ahead and get that and a fish hedz mask too. Thanks for the info guys

I really like the BPS Pro Qualifier gore tex rain suit.  It's lite weight and durable.  I've had a couple fogg togg out fits and all of them have torn.  Maybe I'm to rough with them.

Ya I checked out the BPS pro qualifier rainsuits and I liked them alot they were perfect, and I do actually plan on buying that before fall. I think I will get the frogg toggs for now due too all my $ going towards other equipment. spending $400+ on a rainsuit now is just too much considering all the rods reels and tackle I have bought over winter and still need to get.

I think the Cabelas Guide Wear is the best.  I also have a BPS Pro Qualifer as a back-up suit in the boat.

I am sure the frog toggs are cooler to wear, and I have never worn them, but I have seen some guys really wet at the end of the day on the really bad days.  Prob ok for the light rain, but a downpour while running WOT may get you wet.  Or stuffin a big one on Erie.

Good rainwear is worth the $$ IMHO.

The bass pro shops 100 m.p.h. bibs and coat are the ones I have. They might cost 450.00 for both but it is worth its weight in gold. I've had mine for 4 years and I wear them a lot and they still look brand new. ;)

I used the Bass Pro Shops Gore-Tex rainsuit for YEARS with great success...

I'm gonna retire that one or just use it for mild days...

I just ordered a Helly Hansen suit from Stratos Boats. I've heard good things about the Helly Hansen suits and they're priced right.

One suit that i'll recommend though without even using it is the 100mph suit from Bass Pro Shops. I tried that suit on and I almost bought it but it was too much money for me... It's a great lightweight suit and i've heard rave reviews on it...

Can't beat the frogg toggs, I just bought a new pair for $30 on ebay.  I use them for fishing skiing and working around the house.  The pants do wear out after about a year of this.  They have a new heavy version which I haven't tried yet, they look like they'll last longer.

Without a doubt Cabelas Guide Wear.  I bought my first set back in 1996 and just now finally retired it and bought a new set.  Some people say it's too hot to wear in the summer, but I don't agree.  It is expensive, but well worth the money.

IMHO the Pro Qualifier stuff is even better than the 100mph.  The 100mph velcro enclosures don't seem nearly as nice.  The PQ stuff has all taped seams and lots of extra pockets.  It also has better reinforced knees and elbows.  They just seem to fit better and at 70mph, they keep you very warm (bibs especially).  I'm sure they'd be just fine at 100mph... if anyone has a bass boat that goes that fast routinely, that is.  :-[
