BPS Reel trade in discounts work on Shimano this year

They didn't have the Daiwa spinning reel I was looking for so I ended up getting a CI4+ with the trade in discount. They don't usually discount the Shimano reels so this year was a nice change of pace.

I did the same thing but at gander. I got the shimano ci4 2500 for 219.99 minus my $40 trade in plus a $25 gander rebate card. Almost want to get another one for that price but i already have to many. The funny part of the story is i traded in my daughters spongbob reel. I told them i was upgrading.

It was nice to see that the trade in applied to Shimano, but I still had to go with my tried and true Pro Qualifiers again.  For $65 after sale price and trade in, you can't go wrong...which is why I bought four 
Their deal on XPS flourocarborn is pretty good too, especially the new KVD signature edition.  I love the fact that they now have XPS in a level wound spool.

This is my first Shimano spinning reel in years and years.  Seems awfully slick.

I picked up one of the Shimano Ci4's as well from Gander Mountain with the trade in, they had some scratch off cards last weekend that gave you an additional 10-50% off, of course mine was only for an additional 10%, but with that I got the reel for $167 out the door. This reel is crazy light, it only weighs 7 oz, which is only about 2 oz less than my other Shimano 2500 series reels, but it's amazing how much lighter it feels! I can't wait to put it to use!

Go to the gander website grinny and find the ci4 and there is another 25 dollar rebate gift card available (mail in). I wish i got the scratch off. Ill have to try again this weekend. Ill buy a few more.
