I heard they passed the law this AM to increase the licence fees starting at midnight tonight. I heard that the fishing lic doubled and the hunting lic almost tripled. Anybody else hear anything.

Stopped by Wally World today and bought my license today (Saturday).  I paid $15 same as last year.

I told the lady that I'd heard they either had gone up last night at midnight. She said that they'd been notified that fees were going up, but she didn't know exactly when it would happen.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I can't lay any blame for rising prices on the DNR. It has been a political hassle that Mr. Engler caused. Don't need to start any religion or politics discussion cause nothing usually comes of them, but in this case the DNR have had to constantly cut while their funds were siphoned off to pay for other things. If you buy bottled water you can afford to pay for needed DNR funds. A barrel of bottled water cost more than a barrel of crude oil. I do feel that if the fees go up that that money needs to stay within the DNR. We need a legislative watchdog on the forum.

Got mine the other day at Meijer and they have a note taped to the register saying the prices may be going up soon as they are having some sort of deliberation on it right now.  Says to look at the website for more details, though I can't find anything about it on there.  Went ahead and got mine anyways!!!
