Had a great week fishing the Cash For Bass Classic last week at Hubbard Lake near Alpena.  We arrived Wednesday to sunny skies and calm winds.  By noon it was blowing 20-30 mph and stayed that way for 3 days.  Luckily we had Kevin Barrows BIG Lund Walleye boat so we were riding and fishing in comfort.  The first day of the event we weighed in 17.08 lbs.  The second day we weighed 15.09 helped by a 5.12 Small Mouth that Kevin caught in high winds and 3 foot waves. We ended up 7th place out of 50 boats and cashed a check.  We saw lots of wild life including Loons, Bald Eagles, the Northern Lights,  Big Buck Deer and lots of turkeys.  We rented a small cabin on the south end and had local people stop by asking us how we did and how much the appreciated us being there.  Sadly, electrical issues forced us to miss the Tournament Of Champions on Sunday.  But as my wife says.  " Everything happens for a reason ".

Huge thanks to all the Cash For Bass crew as the event seemed to run smooth and timely.
