Global warming... yeah, worst science ever.  BTW- It is snowing in Dallas today.  Can you believe it?  Winter must have come in like a lamb this year.  I'm still jealous you live on the water though Steve.  Great picture!

It could be worse. I read in the Detroit News yesterday that the National Weather Service in Negaunee Township, Marquette county in the Upper Peninsula measured a record 24 inches of snowfall on Thursday. The inch or so of snow that is covering my back deck doesn't look so bad compared to that.

Well upon waking up this morning I would have been extreamly happy with an inch of snow,  but nooooo we have 12 inches of that wonderful white angel poop at my house. 

We are supposed to go camping on thursday,  I'm thinking we are going to delay that a week or two now.  We go every year at this same time and seems most years it either snows or we get freezing rain,  let's just say the weather isn't always pleasant,  but when you can't fish for bass the next thing is river steelies.  I have to settle for that for now.  However,  we're thinking maybe we will get a second first ice!!!!

I was having a great time catching bass in my pond up till yesterday afternoon even was getting fish on topwater now as of this morning it has a layer of ice and snow on it.

 weather - absolutely ridiculous.....to think i still have alot to do w/boat yet and 1st tournament coming up in less than 4 weeks. i've decated after this weekend to get boat ready cold or not.

Global Warming? just remember back to December and 10 days ago.

This weather has been weird. December and the first 2 weeks of January were exceptionally warm. (I was fishing from my boat that whole time). Then the weather was extremely cold - got over a foot of ice and its been a while since thats happened. Then it got crazy warm - had water temps in the 60s before this latest cold front hit. Now this cold front has us all shivering.

Maybe the ocean currents are changing from the global warming and are doing this now.

I don't think there were many boats sold at D & R this weekend.  I didn't even see any footprints in the 5 inches of snow around and on top of all the boats.

I did see ice on some protected bays of the lakes yesterday though.  How about an ice fishing C&R opener and a Labor Day spawn?
