I was hoping someone could give me some feedback.  I am looking to upgrade from my old boat to a newer old boat.  I have my eye on a 1999 Pantera II.  I have heard many good things about Bass Cat's and I was wondering if anyone out there has any experinece with the Pantera's around this year and model.  Any feedback good or bad would be appreciated.

chewy what is on the back of it for a motor. shouldnt have a problem with the boat as long as it was taken care of. i had a 1987 cat that i bought used and ran for 9 years never a problem with the boat. and went to a 2001 cougar and have not had a problem wiht that either. but for further advice and things to look for I think I would go to the basscat web site and post the same questions. you should get a pretty quick response.

My buddy has an older Sabre which handled so good on St. Clair that it convinced me to buy an 03 Pantera III.  I absolutely love the boat.  I personally think they're right up there with Ranger for the ride in rough water... maybe even a little better.  DK, will I get banned for saying that ???  ;D

Seriously though, they have great reputation and are some of the most solid boats made.  Worth every penny.  You can't go wrong with a cat.  What's on the transom is the real thing to consider.  What's it got?

It has a Mercury 200 EFI.  Unfortunately the guy just got an offer on it and I can't beat it on such short notice so it looks like its sold.  It looked like it was very well taken care of.  It was garage kept and he never had live baits in it.  Oh well, guess I keep looking some more.

Hey Chewy,
If you don't mind what was he asking for it. I have been thinking of upgrading my boat as well. I have a 97 Jaguar with a 225 Johnson Venom on it that I am thinking about selling. Haven't even looked as to what I might get for it. I love the Jag though, can't really think I could upgrade to anything better in my price range. If you don't catch fish on it you can put up the net and play volleyball. I'm  talking a big deck and a smooth ride.

He had it offered at $14,000 OBO.  I never got a chance to look at it but the photos looked nice.  Not sure what he took for it though.
