add a little extra slack dont try and make the texas rig straight, it works with spot removers too ;)

Any reports on the Tru-Tungsten jigheads that Iaconelli endorses? I've used them a little this year so far, they feel great. But my experience w/ this is limited as it seems everytime its getting warm enough to use, it freezes :( and I have to pick up the silver buddy again.

Also, anyone use the shakey head worms by Berkley PowerBait or Gulp!?

Feed the worm on to the hook about a half inch and slide up to the lead head.  Then put a loose bend up to bury the hook point in the worm.  This requires a long shank ball head jig like the spotsticker (or spot remover I think).  This puts more worm material on the hook to prevent tearing.  You can experiment with the amount of bend to get the right wiggle when the shaky head falls.  I usually use 1/8oz max when the fish are hitting on the fall or when I am target fishing.  Anything more kills the wiggle.  Also, using worms with flat bottoms (Yum Houdini) and positioning the flat side down will improve the wiggle.

It's all about the wiggle in the waggle!!!  Same reason senkos catch fish and others....well, don't catch fish as well.

I don't get into the fancy jighead designs... to tell you the truth, I don't really think you need it... I catch just as many fish with the plain jighead that I did with a screw lock head...

I use the jigheads from Provider Tackle... Art make a mushroom style head that is perfect for the presentation... I just slide it up to the barb and texas rig it... I never had any problems and I caught a ton of fish... Those jigheads are the Mush Heads in his line up and he also has a jighead called the Cut Heads with have a flat top for stand up presentations...

To each his own... I stil catch fish on the regular jigheads...
