Unofficial but this is where we are at for our plans in 2014:

Tentative Schedule:

June 1st Burt & Mullett (Aloha)

July 27th White Lake (Municipal Launch)

Aug 24th Cadillac/Mitchell (Pilgrims village)

Sept 21st Portage/ Manistee Lake (Portage street launch/First street launch) TBD

95% payback

$4000 first place with a 50 boat field

Top 3 out of 4 finishes count toward TOY

Capped at 50 boats

BB 10%, expenses 5%, TOY 10%, 75% tournament payouts

$250 team entry

Open team circuit

All Connecting waters open

No membership fee

2014 TOY: 10% of all entry fees will go to the top two teams of the year in 2014 using a 50 point system. Each teams top 3 finishes out of 4 events will count towards TOY. Therefor you can fish only 3 if you choose or all 4 to increase your chances. 7.5% go towards the #1 team and 2.5% towards #2. If we average 25 boats for all 4 events the top team will receive $1875 and the runner up will get $625. If we have a 50 boat average you can double that so 1st is $3750 and 2nd is $1250.

Here is a photo of the payout chart for 2014:

LGMOUTH

Tim,
Is the 250 dollar entry fee per tournament or for all four?
When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.

TCook

That's $250 per team for each individual tournament.

There has been no changes this will be the official schedule for 2014. You can follow any updates or find the entry form when its available on facebook here https://www.facebook.com/PaybackBass or the website http://paybackbass.com/

Hope to see some of you at our events

May want to reconsider Aug 24 thats the same day as the state Championship for the TBF.

TCook

Thanks for the heads up ill check if there's a better option or not.

I can't find anything in the way of August 31st. Do you think that would be a better option?
FISH HARD!!!

TCook

A couple changes to announce. We decided it was best to move the dates of two tournaments due to conflicting with larger tournaments on the same weekend.
First the June 1st Burt & Mullett event will be moved to June 8th. Second the August 24th Cadillac/Mitchell event will be moved to August 31st. Sorry for any inconveniences with these changes but we ultimately thought it would be in everyones best interests since there are no large tournaments on those weekends.

Registration is now open for the Payback Bass 2014 season, you can find the printable entry form on our website at

Payback bass is now sanctioned for the skeeter real money program. If any payback bass event reaches 30 boats and you meet all the requirements a win will give you $3000, $1000, or $500 on top of the normal payout. For details follow the link provided. Stay tuned for further sponsorship information to be announced as soon as the details are worked out.

We are currently looking for a dependable person to handle certain functions at each Payback Bass event. This includes manning the registration table during the check-in time, coordinating the morning blast-offs, coming in early to set up for weigh-in, and assisting during the weigh-in. You will be compensated depending on the boat count and ideally would be fishing in the tournament but do not have to since a boat would likely be needed. Send me a message if interested.

Lake Drive Marine 2nd BB award: For each of the 4 events Lake Drive Marine will be giving a $150 gift card to purchase rods, reels, accessories, or service work for the 2nd big bass caught. To use the gift card whatever service or goods purchased must have an original value of $200. That's another $600 value that's being given back to the anglers thanks to Lake Drive Marine who also had the Payback Bass series sanctioned for the skeeter real money program. Thank You Jeff!

Don't forget when you get a chance - enter your tournament schedule into the new MDNR fishing tournament schedule and results system - http://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/fishingtournaments/

That give people a centralized place to find them, and people can see where and when an event is already scheduled.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Will do Dan. I was not aware of that, thanks for the heads up.

Due to the popularity of the D&R series and the fact they changed their date for the first event on Muskegon to the same weekend as Burt & Mullett we are going to move the Burt & Mullett date to June 15th. Sorry for any inconveniences but we think this will be best for those of us that want to fish both.

Update for Burt @ Mullett:

I recently spoke with management at Aloha and was informed that there dredging project that was supposed to be completed by memorial day weekend has been seriously delayed due to frost. I was told that at the earliest it will be completed by is June 12th and at the latest June 20th. The ramp will be unusable until they finish. If this ends up being the case as a backup we will launch and have the weigh-in out of state park near dodge point at 7662 Mullett Lake Rd Cheboygan, MI 49721. All teams will be contacted as soon as we know where we will be conducting the tournament.
There will also be a meeting the morning of the tournament at 6:00AM and we will be taking off at 6:30AM and check-in will be at 3:30PM.

The forecast is looking great, this should be a slugfest. If you still want to get in last minute go to paybackbass.com

This tournament has been canceled due to low paid entries and my girlfriends father passing a couple days ago. Sorry for any inconveniences to those wanting to fish this event.
