So I read a few post's about Croton Pond,  well i could not stand it, I packed up the ole inflatable pontoon, grabed 4 of my best bass rods, headed out at 5AM this morning to croton!   WOW You guys arent kidding it was a sweet trip on a awesome fishery, I landed in excess of 40 smallies with 8 largemouth mixed in!  Of those 30+ were over the minumum size limit, with 2 breaking 3 lbs and 1 weighed in at 4lb 6oz and was 20 1/2 inches long, what a fight!   I had an idea of what would work and I had a delightful morning til it got hot!  The water temps at surface have climbed above 70 up to 72 here and there,  Beds are still active tho I only caught 2 off of beds most were blind casting! including the big one!  Sadly  I saw a bucketload of dead bass floating!  Usually bass are tuff but add in the stress of spawning then fighting a hotshot angler may have been too much!
Thanks for the Advice! I will be reading up on all our local hotspots Thanks again! Bassdisaster
