please to say, i beleive the lake is back after a few years ago it had a fish kill over the supposingly LMV.
fished a tuesday nite nbaa out there w/19 boats where 10-12 of us brought in our 5 fish limits. winniing weight was some 11lbs. glad to have this like come back as its a top inland lake on my list. not a quality lunker lake, but quantity wise to keep any bass angler coming back.
Senko's our lure of choice that evening w/our big fish coming on a pop-r.

That is good news about the lake.  It was a fish factory back 12-15 years ago when I used to fish it a lot.  Average fish was around 2.5-3#s then and one day we caught over 50 bass between the two of us in just a 12' aluminum boat.  I tried going back about 7 years ago, after college, and found the lake to be dead.  While loading the boat, I heard of the LMBV issue from another fisherman.

Maybe I'll plan another trip down there.

That is good news since that lake is about 5 minutes from me. I will head over there soon and try it out.
Are there any places on the lake to be careful of? Such as hidden rock piles? I am paranoid about losing another prop.

If you go right from the launch there is a sunken island about 300 yards over by the island if it is calm you can see it.
Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

other than the mention hump, your pretty safe anywgere on the lake.
of course if you go into some of the coves, bays on the east side its gets shallow. on the west (other side of bridge) clear sailing 'til you get in back where its shallow w/lots of good slop fishin'.

good luck fishin'!!

Bringing this back up for 07, I had a great evening there. Had 6 over 14", 2 on the edge, and 2 shorts; in just over 2 hours. My best time fishing yet. They really were slamming a jerkbait but wanted nothing to do with the shaky head (?) and had one on a 4" Senko.
Also I found the gravel pile, the hard way, lucky I was just over idle but still I have some damage.
At least on my lake they put out milk jugs so people don't run aground. Maybe I'll take some over there next time.
