GreatLakesBass.com member Nate Sleight shares his value of the college bass fishing experience in Collegiate Fishing: What it means to me. He does a nice job on the article so please check it out!

Nate did a great write up, especially for youth anglers, on how to use college fishing as a path to bigger and better things, stating it may be the best path nowadays for young anglers who want to move up to 'the big league.'

That is a great article with many good points.  I think college bass clubs and tournaments is a phenomenal way for younger anglers to advance their skill set and try and make it to the next level.    I also think its great how many high schools are starting clubs as well, and wished that I had those opportunities when I was in school.

That's good to here.  I've fished against/with some of the guys from Michigan States club at an event last year, and they were also very nice and friendly.  Its nice to see that college anglers are not only improving their skills and working towards the next level, but are doing it in a way that positively portrays their generation, their universities, and the sport of bass fishing/bass tournament anglers.

All great reasons why we can all do some good with these youth fishing programs. It feels good to do so. Thanks!
