Well, he did ladies and gentlement - Steve Clapper dominated the field leading from the start to finish - winning his first ever FLW Tour attempt on the Detroit River today with over 45 pounds - more than 88 pounds total in the 4 day event.

Steven Clapper, a regular on Lake Erie and GreatLakesBass.com, is now over $200,000 richer with various incentive and bonus awards given on top of the huge FLW Tour Chevy Open tournament wrappred today on the Detroit River.

Stayed tuned shortly for lots of pictures, some firsthand reporting from Steve himself, along with more on this awesome event that just impressed the heck out of me.

Watch Clapper's Corner below on GreatLakesBass.com for more information from and about Steve Clapper. Watch here for any additional reports and materials from the overall event.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
