Just curious as to how many of you listen to fishing podcasts? I have found them to be a great source of information and they fit the bill when I want something to listen to while exercising or when on a longer car trip.

I'm not real sure what a podcast is.  I've heard the term a lot, but don't know what it is.  I did break my arm once playing baseball and had an arm cast, but I guess I've never broken my pod.

Keep your day job, stand up is not in your future. ;D
A podcast is basically a radio show. They have podcasts on every subject you can think of and there are a number of good ones on bass fishing. They range in time from 30 minutes to an hour. You can subscribe to them and they will automatically send you the weekly podcast to your computer that you can then listen to on your computer, iPod, or burn to a CD and listen in your vehicle. They are the right price, FREE. If you are a neophyte then check out the Sept. 18 daily blog archive on my teardropbass.com website and it will give you a step by step "How To" for finding and downloading podcasts.

Thanks Dan.  I need to fill up my 30 GB iPod with something other than Rock n Roll.  I will check it out.

The only fishing podcast I currently subscribe to is BassFan Radio, but I'll have to check out some of the others you have listed on your post.  Two of the better non-fishing podcasts I subscribe to are:

- Car Talk
- This American Life

The rest are mostly technology podcasts and aggregated news stuff.

If you check out the Sept. 18 archived blog entry on my teardropbass.com you'll see how to access all the podcasts at the iTunes store. I have three excellant bass fishing podcasts I listen to regularly and have been to the Bass Zone site to hear replays from their XM broadcast. They say you can download the MP3 for those shows once they are aired but I tried one and couldn't get it into my iTunes library so I can load it on my iPod. But, I must have close to 100 bass fishing podcasts that are on my iPod. T Cook I'll send you a link to Billy Raymond's new podcast. T, I thought you and Herman were going up fishing? Could have taken your bow. Big six or eight point working the shore line at the cabin. Two huge scrapes. My son found them though and has laid claim.

The Bass Edge pod cast is pretty good.  I subscribe to it via iTunes.  Their interviews are rather long and in-depth, and there is often some good "out of the ordinary" info there if you listen close.  I have tried to subscribe tp the Bassfan pod cast, but it does not work for me.
