Derek and I made it to Lake Ovid for the day for the first time on June 14, 2016 for a day of bass fishing. Should call it a day of pitching Nemesis Baits Bullet Craws since that is what we did the most damage on again!

Took awhile today to get the first good one but pitching the Bullet Craw when I did it was a solid, quality chunker largemouth bass typical of Lake Ovid and the thick milfoil that chokes up the lake!

Derek gets on the board casting a black and blue Nemesis Baits Bullet Craw to milfoil edges with this small chunker keeper largemouth bass!

I'd like to say I only catch hawgs on my Bullet Craws but the little dinkers will eat them too and sometimes I'm not 100% sure what I have on the other end of the line. When in doubt set the hook! Because hooksets are free (mostly)!

Derek was pitching this black and blue Bullet Craw to the side of the underwater humps on Lake Ovid when this solid 3-pounder ate it ran throw the milfoil along the edge like he had a muskie on instead of a bass. Hard fighting little monster!

This what I love about the Nemesis Baits Bullet Craw - keep pitching it out there and you are bound to catch a TOAD on it! We returned to a small hump that had already produced 5 bass earlier and I switched from green pumpkin to a black and blue Bullet Craw. Pitched into a hole in the milfoil and zzzzzzzzing hooked another mini-toad on the ole Bullet Craw! It's been my hottest big fish bait these past 2 seasons!

We finished the day fishing that hump without any more bites. We didn't tear them up today but we caught a handful of bass with several really nice ones to put together maybe a 15 pound limit. Not too shabby for an small inland lake. The Bullet Craw did all the damage this day.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
