Does anyone have a fishing report for Portage Chain of Lakes? Dexter Mi. Area

Havent fished it this time of year but try the gravel bar running across the middle of portage, whatever side is windblown. Smallies should be on gravel to weed transitions... topwater should be good early too.

I was out there a couple of weeks ago.  Topwater bite was decent from 7-9:30 or so, but then the main lake shut off. Went up in the channels between lakes and had some good luck on white 5" weightless flukes.  The channel right before Zukey lake had a school of giant perch in that I wanted to stop and try to catch, but it's so narrow and the boat traffic was heavy by then so I didn't have a chance.
