Our Cass Lake Tournament was interrupted for a few minutes Sunday morning.  We arrived at our first spot and the fish were schooling.  I caught a keeper.  Put it in the livewell.  Next cast we get a double header on.  I unhook mine and toss it.  My partner was unhooking his and stuck a hook Deep in his finger.   This was about 3 minutes after we started fishing.   Got the hook out and we continued fishing.

I would recommend everyone Google the videos and watch how it's done.   I have had to do it 3 times this year.  Twice on myself with no one in the boat.  It hurts, you cry,  but get to fish the rest of the day.

I have had it done to me 3 times in the last couple years... I went 30 years w/o any hooks in me past the barb... Now I'm a clutz! LOL...  Each guy that did it to me, I had to show and tell them how. I have done it to a few guys myself. Good way to not go to the hospital/docs office, Save money and keep fishing. 8^)

Here's one where the angler sticks hooks into himself and gets them out various ways. I would not recommend testing this without needing to due to accident. This is graphic for those of you with weak stomaches.

The line trick is the 3rd method he shows about 5:45 into the video. He has to do it again because it didn't work right with the bigger 4/0. It fails again with the smaller hook. The trick is to hold the hook eye down real well so the line pulls the hook out from the lower part of the bend to avoid rebound and rehooking through.
