What is your goto jig for finesse, flipping mats or thick grass, football and what trailers do you use on each?

Last year I did not throw jigs much, which will change this year so I am looking for some input. I used terminator finesse jigs and trimmed the skirts with a tiny paca chunk for finesse fishing, and for flipping I used the terminator jig with a jumbo pork trailer or a paca chunk. I did not own a football jig.

I have some favorites but want to get down to Lunkers and look at the Fin-tech knuckleball jig. It really looks like a great shakey head jig. They also make this jig they call a title shot jig that has a flexible bait keeper that helps with the hookset. Very interesting.
TCook let me know when you hear about Lunkers Spring Show. I want to head down to it this year for sure. I would also like to plan a trip to the Bass Pro down there by you when they have their Spring show so let me know if you hear when that is happening as well.

i like jewel baits "eakins jig" for a finesse jig. PB&J w/ a chompers or yamamoto twin tail grub in PB&J. Liking them w/ the tiny paca chunks for trailers too!

Funny thing about them is... they are the "goto" bait on table rock. Everyone told us "get'chya sum jool jigs in that thar pbj culler".... didn't catch a dang thing on them and since i bought 20 of them, i started tossing 'em up here and the smallies really like 'em  :)

Thanks Tim. If you want to send me your address I mail you a copy of the iMovie DVD I made of the Florida BASS Nationals trip. It turned out to be about an hour and I think you would find it interesting to watch. It would be great to get together for a trip to Lunkers or Bass Pro.

hey dan, lunkers most likely have there extravagansa on the first weekend in march. that's when the've had them before. we ought to have a GLB gang getother there and see what we look like. might be scary  ;D if nothing else i think they have a website you can check there too..karol

skeeterman190

For finesseTim i make my own its very similar to the jigs that Karu lures has. I call it a Phillbilly jig but its a poison tail jig. with some custom skirts. Now for flipping mats and heavy weeds in the summer you CAN'T beat the Mango jig the head design is perfect for busting through the grass. If you got anymore questions on jigs call me I love jig fishing. I spend alot of time fishing these.-skeeterman-

I like Strike King Bitsy Jigs and Bitsy Bug jigs.  The Kalamazoo small mouth love them and I have catch a lot of green fish on then too.  I like Zoom super chuck jr for a trailer.

I don't have much time in with a football jig but I have used the Omega.  It is the only football jigs I could find in the GR area last year.  I liked and I am interested in trying some of their other jigs.
