Funny how every year at the shows there is one lure that is the Star of the show.  Looks like the Whopper Plopper is it this year.   It appears it does work.  Been watching the new season of MLF and the guys are doing really good with it.  Guess I better get a couple or just leave the boat shrink wrapped next summer.

Anyone buy some.

I bought 3 last year and only threw it for a little while. I do like it better than a buzzbait because it floats and is something different the fish haven't seen. I caught several pike on the larger size. I plan on throwing it some more this year and will also have my daughter throw the smaller size since it's easy to use. I'm sure the Whopper Plopper will end up like the spybaits and A-rigs I own-great lures that will more than likely continue to see limited action.

I bought a bunch of them in size 90 and 130... All MunkyButt color... I did really well on them, But I prefer the 130 size. The 90 sits nose down and does not work right unless you hold your rod up and get it started plopping.  I would actually prefer the loon color, But I can always paint mine black.  ;D

The A-Rig was probably the best one.  Guys were buying the Home Made Knock Offs with no idea if they worked.  I have a half dozen in my boat that have not seen daylight in 2 years.

The Orange Fishing Rods were a hit this year.  Sat with Dan in the boot and watched many sales.

The carrot sticks were selling because the factory allowed them to sell for about 1/2 off... I talked to one of the factory reps.

Never did find out if the Green Ones were just not ripe yet.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Veggie sticks are back???  They werent very good for awhile.
I also have to hold the rod up with the 90's.  I dont have a rod that will throw the 130's lol

I caved and jumped on the whopper plopper bandwagon as well.  I bought a 130 in perch, and 2 90s-one pac-man and one t1000.  After seeing the perch color in 130 i plan on picking up one in the 90 as well and probably another color in the 130, just not which color to go with, probably munky butt

I haven't fished mine a lot yet because last year I didn't get on a lot of topwater bites like the year before which was topwater crazy! I did catch a few small bass on the 90s and had one memorable bass on the 130 that followed it to the boat and then ate it right at the boat when I paused it before lifting it out of the water.

Must have wanted it bad because it was almost a 4-pounder and yet ate the lure sitting still right next to the boat! I lost it under the boat on the short line fight because I don't think I got a good hookset into it because I was fairly shocked when it ate the big lure! We had been popping decent bass on buzzbaits in the same area so I threw the big Whopper Plopper to see if it would pull up a bigger bass. It worked that time anyways!

One of my more memorable bass of the fishing season, and I did fight it for about 30 seconds.
