For all you moonies, tonight is a total eclipse that will begin at 10:01 pm. Won't be another one until 2010. They say skies should be clear and I'm going to be out casting a rapala over the ice to see how the bass are affected by a total eclipse. Maybe I won't cast, because you really need to troll with a rapala. I'll get the snowmobile out and put the rod in the rod holder.

Here's some info on the eclipse.  http://blogs.woodtv.com/?cat=1

Pretty cool, I think. Had a great view, but I missed the red phase.

Watched it when it was about 90% gone and we could see Saturn (but not Uranus Dan...).

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

We were getting dumped on here in Indiana still when it happened, so didn't get to see it.  You were supposed to be able to see Saturn to the top left of the moon and one of the larger and brighter stars to the top right of the moon, and this was at full eclipse.  Supposed to look like a big triangle or something.  Sounds cool, I'll have to check out pics on the web.

Thanks! I'll look at it tonight. You could see Saturn and Regulus real well around 10 PM or so. I should have dug up my binoculars... I just have no idea where they are??
