hey guys,    i was wondering if the parts on a maxxum r interchangeable between a variable speed and a speed control model.  i was told that the nose of the tm actually controls the speed.  the variable speed tm has magnets that r bad in it and was wondering if i could use the magnets in the speed control model to replace the bad one in the variable.  thanks kb

Wish I knew if you could do that or not, but I've never heard of anyone doing that? Hopefully, someone might read this who has that experience.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

You can go on Minn Kota's site and there are parts diagrams for every motor.  Compare part numbers and see if they are the same.  Many motors use the same parts.
