For the guys who complained about the Marine Patrol to me last night at the weigh in.

As I said I would, when I got to the office today, I went and asked what their deal was.  Some guy and the "association" apparently were complaining about the tournaments, and making up some stuff to get them there.  One of the guys that was there is cool, and the other one obviously is a               .  The one who was doing all of the spouting off and said Alex couldn't fish truly has no authority whatsoever.  If anything was going to be done, it would have had to be by the guy who wasn't talking.   The tall guy said everything the tournament guys were dong was fine by him.  He said Alex's boat wasn't registered yet, but he knew you would get that taken care of and thought the kid should go fishing.  If you can imagine though, you pretty always have to support your partner, even if that means saying nothing and not conflicting publicly.  So, Mr **deleted**, with all of his chest thumping self righteous, I am God BS, prevented the kids from going fishing.  After talking today, i think it will be a little different if it ever happens again, and hopefully he will back himself down to the level the rest of us mere mortals are at.  Even though I wasn't there and couldn't do anything about it, sorry it happened.  The lake association is gearing up to approach the township about eliminating the tournaments again, apparently.  Since the township won't outright ban the tournaments, they are trying to get them to designate everywhere, except the few spaces to the left, as no parking.  That would either limit the number of boats that could fish, or everyone would risk getting ticketed.  And I'm sure they would be calling as soon as one more boat showed up thank they wanted to be there.  If no parking signs show up, check with the township to see if the township has passed an ordinance backing the no parking, or if someone just put signs up.  Like the no power loading sign.  There is no township ordiance backing that, so it is your choice to obey the sign or not.  There is nothing they can do if you do.  If anyne needs contact info for anyone up here, let me know.  Otherwise, we'll all just keep doing what we have been, and the lake association can buzz off.

Thanks Eric I appriciate the help. Its all my fault that the boat isnt registered yet and it should have been. I had no problem with them saying that he had to take the boat out of the water since it wasnt registered. What I do have a problem with is that the marine patrol shows up at every tournament just because one of the local calls to complain. About the parking, if they do put up no parking signs we will just park on the shoulder of the road going out to the main road and haul everyone back to the ramp. There are no laws against parking on the shoulder of the road as long as your off the road. Oh well I guess we will just have to take it one day at a time. Got to love lake associations....
When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.
