hey guys just got home from leave and we did AWESOME in michigan. the lakes we hit were sanford, wixom, long lake up in harrison and the chippewa river. we caught all our fish on manns hardnose frogs or alluringbaits.com bush bug ( or brush hog but way cheaper) all the fish were caught along the dam at sanford just throw the frog out on the bank and reel it back to the boat and it would get smoked and when fishing the bush bug we would throw it about 6 ft infront of docks and deadstick them pull up and fish on...that was at sanford and wixom we caught 26 keepers that day.  when we went to long lake it was pouring down rain so we through on the gortex and started out throwing strike king spitn kings in black and silver. we would throw those over weedbeds in 5-10ft of water and just nailed the fish for 3 hrs. big schools of fish to. we ended up catching 21 keepers that day from that lake. we fished the chippewa river and threw white spinnerbaits all day and caught 24 smallies in different size ranges from 18 inches down to 10 so it was awesome still when were nailing smallies all day. so ya it was a good time to go on leave just as the fall bite is picking up.
