Hey guys,

Hope everyone is surviving the winter and enjoying the boat shows.

I have found out some news that hasn't set well with me,  and for this reason I haven't been posting on here.  My husbands ex wife is coming in here and reading everything I post,  when I posted some advertising for the dealership I work at,  she took that and is trying to make trouble for me with a local campaign we are doing here.

I don't need the problems or the troubles.  So I won't be posting much.  If anyone needs to get in touch with me you can always pm me or send me an email.  Although I'm pretty sure that she is getting in my email account too,  that is how she found out about this website.

I will check in here though and try to keep up on what is going on.

I have missed each and everyone of you and will continue to miss you all,  but the problems just aren't worth it.

So if anyone needs a new vehicle which by the way there is 0% for 60 on certain vehicles,  until March 2.  Just give me a call or email me.

Thanks guys.

Wendy

Sounds to me like your husband needs to put a damper on his ex.  I wouldn't let this woman dictate my every move either.  Even though this could be affecting you at work, you need to speak with your management and make them understand the M.O. of this woman.  Sounds to me like she is jealous of you.  Probably because you catch more and bigger fish than her including you catching your husband when she couldn't keep him.  If your management is compassionate and understands the situation, then they will back you up and ask her not to harass you anymore at work.  If she has the passwords for getting into your email account then you maybe need to change your password as well as even changing your Internet Service Provider.  There are lots of "shady" characters on the internet.  She sounds like she fits right in with the rest of them.  Your husband could be key in helping you out with this problem.  She is taking her issues out on you and not with her ex as she should.  Eventually, your husband is going to have to step up to the plate.  I have always enjoyed reading your posts and posting back at ya.  I wouldn't cowtow to this woman.  If you do........she wins.  I would hate for you to give up this easily.  No one needs problems or troubles, especially in these trying economic times.  Good luck in dealing with this woman bug.  I for sure am going to miss you.  Please re-evaluate this situation and discuss it with your husband.  I am sure between the two of you that you can solve this problem.  Good luck again.

Hey Wendy,

I agree with UAW.  I miss seeing your posts on here also.  (Maybe that's why I emailed you recently)  :)  Take care  !!!!

I was wondering also and had planned to email you yesterday when I saw your post. I try not to let people like this change the way I do things anymore than I have to but I do understand your concerns.

This is also why I sometimes remind people that anyone can come on this forum (or any other public site) and read what you say. I have a couple questions I'll send to you.

Thanks guys,  I really do miss posting on here,  maybe there are somethings that can be worked out,  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I have been trying to keep up though and checking in from time to time.

Yes, do that at least. I know I love my Pontiac Vibe I got from Benchley. Nice car. Great features for a great price and delivery was pretty easy too!!

Good fishing gear car when I don't need to be hauling the boat! And great on gas too - 30 mpg!!

Don't let her win, you are too nice of a person to stop posting and let that (What's the word I'm looking for here?) change the way you do things and make you stop doing something you enjoy.

Well, maybe we'd like to, but we need to be better than these types so lets not go down that road.

How about a identity change ? Covert, under cover, need to know only type !

You know I'm not even sure how she even found out about this site,  which leads me to believe she is getting in my email.  Easton tells us she has a spy wear on her puter which helps her hack into other peoples accounts.

She's a peach,  Terry said a few choice things to her on Sunday.  So I'm not sure undercover would work anyway,  but I guess it's worth a shot.

I'm just waiting to see about a couple things and then maybe things will be worked out.  I'll let you all know how it goes.

Thanks for all the wonderful thoughts,  it does make it feel better,  but I just have to be cautious for right now.

There is information on the web on how to hack into some of the large free email providers. I don't use these providers.

I have no idea if she has hacked into your email - a shame if so. I reviewed the hacks during study on how to try to keep web sites safe. It didn't look very complicated for one of the types - either Yahoo or Gmail. I was disappointed on how easy it had been to find that info and that it didn't seem very complicated.

Don't know what the free email providers have done to address these issues since I long ago decided not to use them and haven't reviewed them again. I recommend that you don't use the same password on here that you use for an email account.

Wendy-
Change all of your passwords, and make sure you use numbers, lowercase, uppercase, and symbols - all in the same password (e.g. GreatLakeSbAss103_pbehindword) .  Make sure your password is a MINIMUM of 8 characters long, but longer than that is even better.  I don't care what "hacking" software she uses, it will take a really, really long time for her to hack your account.  Also, it's a good idea to change your passwords regularly.

I started doing that when I realized what was going on.  So here's hoping,  it works.

Ha, Dan's dirty word software changed pa_$_$word (minus the underscores) to p"behind"word.  Throw some $ in there for good measure.

All good advice Jeff. I hope they got that hack fixed a while ago because you did not have to know the password, or guess it to get into someone's account on that service, you just had to know a small amount of technical info that shouldn't have been public (that never works - they HAVE to have fixed it by now?!?). It was an unpleasant surprise for some people I knew.

I would add don't use the same password for everything. Especially use more complex passwords for things that involve banking and account information that you don't use elsewhere. I can only guess how many different passwords I have at present... but I'm a paranoid computer nerd (maybe for good reason...??)

Some people don't appreciate this kind of info, I know. Believe me. But knowing something should always be preferred over being in the dark. For instance, I'm glad one of my domain related companies had a login notice today stating a similar company had their membership database hacked yesterday. They realize that many persons use more than one company for the service and that people tend to use the same password at multiple sites (I don't). I'd sure rather know up front than find out with an unpleasant surprise.

On GreatLakesBass.com, your password is stored encrypted so even I don't know what it is. I can give you a completely new one or you can have the forum reset it if you answer your security question. Make sure you use a good password even here and have a security question/answer that isn't easy to know. I will never email and ask you your password, nor will I read your PM's.

With permission, I can reset a member's password to a temporary one so I can check an account for problems. No one else can get into your account unless you give them your password (please don't do that ever) or you use one easy enough for someone to guess. Once your problem is resolved, you can change your password to something else. This is the only way I could read PM's of a member and I would only do that if the person tried to use PM to spam or harass other members. So far, I've not had to do that and hope it stays that way.

Well I have changed all my passwords including this one,  I'm not sure she used my account to get in here,  still not sure how she found out about this site either,  still think she has been in my email.

I know she copied posts I had made,  Easton said he deleted them off her puter though,  see that is what gets me the most she pulls this crap and in one way or another it involves the kids,  they are the ones getting hurt by her actions,  I won't do anything that could hurt the kids.  She on the other hand doesn't care what happens to those kids,  I care more about them then she does and I didn't give birth to them.  (ok that rant over)  Anyway Easton shouldn't have to check out this stuff and delete it from her puter.  She shouldn't even be bothering with me,  she needs to get a job and a life,  apparently she isn't very happy with the life she has to keep doing these kinds of things.

The damage is done and there isn't really anything I can do to fix it.  Just be a little more careful and cautious.
