Odd topic perhaps, but one of great interest to me.

I have a bad back.  When riding in the passenger of a bass boat, I can be jarred/slammed hard enough that I can hardly walk for a week.  Everybody that I ride with has been very careful not to hurt me.  I greatly appreciate that.
Is there a product out there, that, as a Co-angler I can carry with with that:
1) will protect my body from the pounding rough water can deliver
2) will be the kind of thing the boat won't mind having on board.
3) doesn't take up too much space?

What about getting a bean bag chair, and cutting it down to a size that will fit the boat's seats?
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I just watched something this weekend I think on Bass-Pros where Rick Clunn was talking about this subject. He put a boat bumper I think under a flip up seat to change the height of your hips to your knees or something, plus he stressed the importance of taking your wallet out of your pocket. I was cooking so I only caught part of what he was saying .

CR is correct.  It was on The Bass Pros.  Clunn talked about getting your knees below you butt, thus allowing your legs to help with the shock absorption.  I would consider bring a boat cushion or two sit on.  I wonder is a motocross style kidney belt would help for lower back support.  If nothing else there is always muscle relaxers and pain killers the day after.   :)
