Just another feather in Bill's hat...what a great guy, a real joy to be around.  If I'm not mistaken he's out in Springfield Mo. for a store opening right now..  he sure covers the country.  www.bassfan.com

McElroy's rod art 3/17/2006

Scales and Tales cartoonist Bill McElroy wants to apologize to BassFans for his lack of new cartoons lately. He's been busy. What's he been up to? Take a look. He's been working the Bass Pro Shops booth on the sportshow circuit, where he creates free custom rod art for people who purchase a new rod from Bass Pro. He's headed home after this weekend and will start drawing again.

> McElroy noted that, a couple of years ago, he customized a few rods for President Bush. They were a gift from Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris.
