Below is the volunteer schedule for the 2022 Ultimate Fishing Show Detroit. Volunteers who work at least 2 hours will get a free exhibitor pass to the show that is good for the whole show. I can only give passes to persons who help at the booth so please stay at the booth and help out during your time(s)! I will need extra help on Saturday during the Ultimate Bass Clinic between 2pm and 5pm for the 2-hour seminar.

UPDATED 1/4/20 (2:14PM): Booth 3054 - Please help me keep the schedule up-to-date. PM or Contact Me if you have a change or any questions.

We could use 2 helpers for ~30 minutes after the show ends Sunday for tearing down, and packing the booth and materials into my car. That would be awesome if you can help!?! All volunteers will be added for a year to the special GLBass Friends group if not already in there (extended otherwise). And you will have my eternal thanks and appreciation (which you can remind me about ;D)!

BOOTH VOLUNTEERS SUMMARY
You will get more details in the private volunteers area of the forum. You will be able to see it once I add you to the temporary show group. I will state a few things now. I need people who can talk to others in an outgoing, friendly fashion about joining the websites - mostly GreatLakesBass.com and GreatLakesIceFishing.com, handing out stuff and just answering general questions about fishing. NO ALCOHOL in the booth. No sales or giveaways of items not pre-approved by me before the show. I can lose my booth from that.

This is only a 10x10 booth so there's not a lot of room for extra friends, family and stuff in the booth. Please NO extra people behind the table or blocking the table front who are not on the volunteer list. Much of the time I can run the booth with one extra person being nice for help and breaks. There are the potentially busy times afternoon-early evening Thursday (KVD), mid-Friday and mid-morning to early evening Saturday where 2 helpers might be nice. Sunday may also have a busier stretch with Zona being there Sunday only.

I will also have be away from the booth from around 2:10 PM Saturday, January 8, until ~4:45-5:00 PM for the Ultimate Bass Clinic I help Wayne with. Extra help during that time is very much appreciated!

The schedule can be adjusted to accommodate people willing to help who can't fit one of the existing time slots. The slots are just approximations. THANK YOU!!!!

This is an information box Showspan is sharing about COVID concerns for the 2022 Ultimate Fishing Show:

QuoteThe Fishing Show will have enhanced sanitation procedures throughout the building, including an increase in hand sanitizer stations and cleaning staff. ShowSpan events are produced with the safety of all participants top of mind and will comply with all local, state and federal safety guidelines.

I mentioned above I may be wearing a mask for much of the show, at least in the booth. I have had 4 shots (someone gave me the child booster by accident the first attempt :D ), but want to keep myself, my family and all of you safe as possible.

I've had several external family members get sick with a sibling recently spending almost 2 weeks in the hospital, the majority in ICU. I wish that on no one. I've known too many people who have gotten sick, including some who did not make it.

Maybe I should have been wearing a mask all these years... I used to get a bad cold, or worse (bronchitis or flu) at one of the 3 shows every year from not being careful enough. Since I started getting the annual flu shot many years ago, that has slacked off. I think it has made me more aware to watch my habits around lots of people saving myself from colds much of the time too.

Still getting the occasional cold because I've slipped up every 2nd or 3rd year. Adding COVID to the flu, a mask seems like a small price to pay to just hopefully not catch anything (except fish!!!).

I want all of you to be healthy, so do what you believe is best to keep you safe at the show. I hope if you volunteer, you have had your vaccines. This is not the time to share with people. I also ask, if you start feeling sick, or any of the common symptoms of COVID, please do NOT come to my booth. I ask this not only for all of the rest of us, but for you also! My sibling waited a long time before admitting the illness was getting out of hand, which ended up in a very scary, long hospital stay. It is NOT worth it. Believe me.

I will have hand sanitizer in the booth. I usually do anyways. I will have bottled water and paper towels (as long as I don't forget to get them). I think we can have a safe and fun show if we are all diligent. Thank you so much for understanding! Keep your families and friends safe too! There's lots of fishing to do yet!
