Fellow Anglers,

Well, this thing has really gotten bigger then what we were planning to start at.   We are now in need of about 7 more Boaters to take some kids fishing from the Make a Wish Foundation on Kent Lake this upcoming Sunday, September 6.  This was just a small event the Team Guys from Wonderland set up with the help of some other anglers to help the " Make a Wish Foundation " take some kids and their Family members out for a few hours of fun.  ( ATTIC Fishing stands for Anglers Taking Terminaly Ill Children Fishing )   We wanted to start it small and work up, but the response from the Foundation has been nothing short of great.  They are so excited!

We now have 26 Kids wanting to go fishing and we are coming up 7 boats short.  If it is in your heart to give a Kid some enjoyment for a few hours on Sunday Please call Roger Beaune at 810-602-7015 or Scott Michaels at 248-561-4644 for more info.

We will need the anglers there from 6:30am till Noon on Kent lake at the west Launch.  Then we will be cooking lunch for everyone free of charge as well. There will also be some workshop activities for the kids and there families as well.   I know this is short notice, but if you can give just a few hours of your time this weekend please call Roger or Scott for more information.

Thanks,

Ralph Blasey

Ralph, do the boaters have to provide live bait, life jackets, rods/reels, hooks, etc or do your guys have some of that covered?

Yes to all, if possible.  Being the first year, we were only able to get small tackle box's donated from Bass Pro Shops with some stuff in them.  We are asking everyone coming to bring as many child and adult life jackets ( with there names marked on them to be returned ), live bait, and poles as possible.  Please call either of the 2 phone numbers above if you can come, so we know.  The hope is that by next year, we will have even more sponsors that step up.

Thanks for the interest,
Ralph Blasey

Sorry I did not make it Sunday morning. I talked to Roger and he said you were covered with enough boats. I had hoped to get some video, but I was not able go anywhere Sunday.

If anyone got some pictures and sends some to me, I'd be happy to post them on the site with any follow up information available. Seemed like a great day weatherwise so I hope things went very well. This is the kind of activity that helps make the world a better place.
