its awsome!!! go around late may early june and i'd stay in little sturgeon bay that way if the wind is blowing there are still plenty of places to catch fish and stay out of the wind.  you'll need the usual jerk baits, spinnerbaits, and tubes depending on if they're prespawn or spawning.  if you're looking for a guide hook up with dale strochine (not sure about the spelling but he won't be hard to find)  Have fun and its one of my favorite places to fish.

The one time I fished the Sturgeon Bay Open we stayed at a hotel that we had all to ourselves. Nice place, but it has been quite a few years now.

I enjoyed fishing there. The SBOBT was kind of packed. Lots of boats on top of each other in several places. Not my preference. I enjoyed the fall better when we fished the BASS northern divisional there a couple years later out of Green Bay. Didn't like running right up the middle of the bay for the first 10 miles, but I did enjoy the fishing.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I didn't catch any walleye. They were more out in Lake Michigan off some of the reefs which I didn't fish much. A few guys hooked some muskies including a huge one. I don't recall catching many pike. I think I caught some in the back of a bay with some weeds in it north of Little Sturgeon. For bass, just fish the north flat in Sturgeon Bay, or the shallow bay on the left out near the mouth, or the back end of Little Sturgeon.

I've caught a couple walleyes when I was fishing the first break 6-10' with a pointer.  They are nice sized too.
