I am going to this area the last week of June where do you think the best fishing will be Torch,Skemog or Elk or should I run to the Bay. I am planning on being up there for 8 days doing nothing but fishing. I got real lucky, My son just bought a place that is 5 minutes from one of the launches on Torch. Where would you start?

Well, if you have 8 days I'd be fishing them all!!  AND Lake Charlevoix!!!  Besides... if you are on Torch you are already "on" Skegmog and Elk.

How far is Charliviox from there, never been up there. It will be all new to me but I am going to enjoy every minute of my time there.

Don't count out Clam lake and Lake Bellaire!

In other words... you won't have a shortage of places to fish.

You won't have a shortage of lakes, but if you want to fish spawning smallmouth at that time of year you need to be on the Bay. They should be almost ready to rock and roll all over the south end that time of year. You may be a tad bit early for GT Bay depending on the weather.  The inland lakes up there should all be post spawn by then.

So if I want to catch the smallies during the spawn in torch and the other lakes when would be the best time early June or late May.

Yes!

Every year my club schedules at least one (usually two) two day tournaments on Charlevoix, Burt and Mullet, or Elk and Torch during the first three weeks of the bass season. It will typically be Burt and Mullet for the "opener", then Charlevoix two weeks later.

Huge weights!

This year, the talk is that we're going to (maybe) Charlevoix for opening weekend, then staying up North to fish (maybe) Burt and Mullet the following weekend (or vise-versa).

In case your're wondering, my club is now, about 2/3 retirees with nothing to do, but fish.

Dan

First couple weeks of June on the inland lakes. Probably more like June 6-18th give or take a couple days on either end. Find the wood on the west shore of Torch. Throw a spinnerbait over it and the smallies will either hammer it or show themselves so that you can go back and tube em.
