We're in the motel at Guntersville. I drew rookie Cliff Crochet tomorrow. My buddy Rick drew Mike Iaconelli. Ike seems  to think he's on good fish. Just a Fantasy fishing inside tip. I finished my Day 4 Blog on my teardropbass.com blog. It's got a bunch of pics. The ramp they used for Pickwick is under water today. When we were there it was over 10 feet to the park level. The river is closed and had come up at least twelve feet.
The lodge at Guntersville where the registration was at is very nice. Spectacular mountain top views  of Guntersville. If you bring your  wife during the week it's only $95 a night and that  includes dinner in there very nice restaurant. We ate lunch there today. If we had known how nice it was we wouldn't be staying in town at the Days Inn. It's definitely a vacation get away that you wouldn't forget fishing or not. The swimming pool is right on the bluff over  looking the lake and surrounding mountains.

Lucky dog!! ;D  Wish I could do something like that one of these days, take the wife to fish at Guntersville that is.  I think Tim would hold it against me though...

Live to fish, Fish to live.

Finally made it back from our Alabama swing. We were on Wilson Lake, Pickwick Lake, and Guntersville. When I was at Pickwick we locked through to Wilson. Largest lock in the country. Quite impressive. It raises you 100 feet.
If I were to go back to that area after fishing the lakes above and Wheeler, I'd spend 90% of the time on Guntersville. What a big fish fishery! The scenery there is bar none some of the prettiest I've seen in Alabama or most any where I've been. Guntersville State Park Lodge is a must. I have a gazillion pictures posted on my blog at teardropbass.com. I'll be putting more up in the next few weeks. I took probably 150 pictures a day.
