I have been looking into buying a used bass boat 2005 -2007 year range and what I have noticed is how many of these boats have had blown powerheads.I have called on 7 different boats and 6 of them have had new heads put in. Most have been Evinrudes a couple Yamaha's.Anyone have any advice on these years of motors, most of these boats are still in the 27k range and I would hate to make a mistake. Thanks for any advice.

I have an 06 that i bought in early 08.  It a 225 ho rude.  Only had 48 hrs on it.  Do your homework and wait for the right deal.  I bought mine and still had 2 years of the original warranty left.  All motor manufactures have their horror stories.
Got one!

dbl check with the owner, sometimes thouse "new" powerheads still have some warranty on them. i had mine rebuilt years ago and runs great. as always keep looking and find the boat you want or you will never be happy in it.
