Have fished around quite a bit the last couple weeks. (It's OK to say that isn't it?)
Magician, Pipestone, Paw Paw, Diamond - BH stretch of St, Joe.
The bass still don't seem to have moved out much away from the outside edge. Everything we've done has been up tight and presented slowly. The usual stuff - tubes, jig n pig, t rig worm and hula grubs. Haven't been able to get it going out off into the deepness with drop shot much yet. Soon, I'm sure.
Went over to the BH stretch of the river on the 4th. Nightmare boat traffic. What were we thinkin'? Did pretty decent on 200 Bandits in spring craw though. No picture fish but enough of those 2 1/2 pounders to make it fun.
Heard it takes more than the usual 12# to win up on Muskegon this year. Buddy of mine had 14 1/2# and still didn't cash a check. Guess I better get up there.
Look past what they want you to see.
