Yeah! I sent it to them a while ago. I think I'm going to be on the show. Been practicing my squatch hoots and hollers!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

As far as the earlier 'discussion' on this thread:

Is it gonna be a looonnnngg winter?

I couldn't agree more with The Dude. I especially hate it when two people I like and respect get into a "mine is bigger" discussion. I just dont listen. I still like both of you, but the respect is dwindling.

is this a west side series only

And back to the original topic......The west side is already chalk full of options so for 2012 we want to make sure we aren't further flooding an oversatured market.  The reason we are capping the number events is two-fold 1. Paying back 100%......unless you have unlimited time, money, and patience trying to grow a tournament circuit isn't sustainable because the people putting in the time do not have any incentive to grow. To be completely honest it is my opinion that NBAA paybacks are more than generous especially when you factor in everything they offer.  Some feel being a Tournament Director requires little effort but I can tell you from experience that this isn't the case - it isn't really about the amount of work but rather the commitment of your time.  The ones that have been successful are so because the guys behind have not overextended their commitment levels and are diehard bass fishing junkies.
2. Protecting our Fisheries.....2 examples of lakes that have been damaged because of the number of tourneys are Sessions & Jordan over here in Ionia county - in 2010 Sessions was putting up 6+'s and 23+lb sacks in tourneys; in 2011 2 fish on Sessions guaranteed you a spot in the money. (R. Goward - please savor this "I told you so" moment!!!)  Jordan Lake has seen 10-40 boat fields for a number of years but in 2010 & 2011 it saw those fields every single night of the week. Having fished there since 2005 I have seen it slowly decay and the speed of that decay just so happens to directly correlate to the increasing # of events.  So with that premised I can better explain why/how/what we want to do for 2012.

NITE BITE SERIES - 10 weeknight events plus Divisional and overall championship.  Same or similar format as 2011 Thursday NITE BITE on Muskegon & White......exact details coming over shortly as we are discussing the best way to fund the overall championship which is why we need a few more divisions to come on board.  Scales, bags, and online web-based results log-in are provided along with a few other incentives.  Last years Thurs. Series went off without a hitch so if anyone would like a reference from a 1st year Director as to how things went please let me know and I'll get you his contact information.  We already have 3 Divisions over here so we need to get 3 elsewhere that do not conflict with current NBAA Divisions or other established tourneys.

LONE WOLF SERIES - 2 Events per division, fish both events qualifies you for the LONE WOLF SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP and crown the "Alpha Dog"
$10 membership $35 entry per event
Title Sponsor(s) & membership money will fund Championship

So far we plan on the following divisions for the LONE WOLF SERIES - Gun/Gull, Hardy/Croton, & Muskegon/White
Like to have a Sanford/Wixom and 1 or 2 East Side Divisions - success will be depend on finding the right few guys and of course not conflicting.

More to come as I have to get back to building the new IYFB website.....

Frank

here's the way i see it...
I'm not going to get involved in any dumb arguments, however, I have all winter to be bored and i get to laugh because of reading dumb arguments, so please, please, come up with a lot of dumb things to argue about.  When the lakes thaw, i wont pay any attention, but right now this entertains me a lot, lol

Thanks guys
Frank

I don't think I have laughed this hard at another post on this site.  Genie and Dan, you kill me!

Funny thing is, I went to this topic because I am thinking about fishing ROI next year, and I had to read a bunch of trash.  That was a cheap shot, a post like that from a competitor, when a guy is telling people who want to know about his tournaments.  With that being said, does RDT run as well as my boat did when I bought it?  Just asking.

I know the Thursday Nite Bite on Muskegon & White Crew would love for you to come on through.....will have a Lone Wolf Series Muskegon/White Div. as well.

And thanks for posting those smallies you caught yesterday - that's just not even right!  That's like a winter forum misdemenour or something - especially after Dec. 15th :D

Well, I'm going to work on being a repeat offender. Not done fishing yet. I'm not afraid of a silly misdemeanor. I have to find a partner before I can fish anything. The lone wolf idea would really give me a chance to better myself. The wheels are turning.

I followed the thursday night bite last year it had its ups and downs but overall a great series and a great group of guys.  For a first time director it was ran great ad just got better as it went on.  The Classic was excellent with prizes and and payback being even better we only had 10 boats on average but i hope to see more next year
