I've received 1 message so far before I announced it but I did kind of cover the general topic in an earlier post in the new tournament news board. I'm doing some automating of tasks I've previously done by hand. I'm on a low budget and limited time option so I'm using a program from someone else that I've made minor changes to. To get going, it imports a bunch of existing news items from some of the sources I get news updates from.

You'll see a bunch at first and then maybe not quite so many all at once - new posts by user 'News' and there's also the earlier user 'Tournament News' and user 'GLIF' (for ice fishing updates from my GreatLakesIceFishing.com). These are automated updates to get more of the news I get or have access to you faster. There may be others in the future depending on how things go.

If you see a new topic started with a bracket first like [NEWS] for general topics in many categories including news summaries from GreatLakesBass.com Tournament News or [GLIF] for the latest updates from GreatLakesIceFishing.com (GLIF), those are summary topics that may interest you. If not, you can just skip over them.

Most of the threads in the Bass Tournament News message board will lead to GreatLakesBass.com Tournament News while most of the other topics will lead to an external website article from Bassmaster.com, FLW Outdoors, GLIF, TBF and other websites.

I hope this makes it more convenient for those of you looking for this type of information - you can find more of it on this forum. I know some of you never visit other parts of this website so maybe you can now see what else is out there and find good stuff on other helpful websites easier too. Like I said, if you aren't interested, just skip past topics that have the brackets [] at the beginning.

There will be summaries leading to more articles on other websites about all kinds of fishing in the new 'Fishing Tips and Articles' board sub to this main message board, more links to all the great articles at Bassmaster.com in the 'More from B.A.S.S.' board, more ice fishing, more FLW, TBF, TBF of Michigan and more B.A.S.S. Federation Nation among others.

I like the 'more is better' way of providing content and content links. That might not be the way everyone feels so the brackets like [NEWS] are my way of hoping if you don't want to see them you can skip over them. I hope some of you find more links to more content entertaining, helpful and interesting. I've been picking and choosing in the past based on available time and I will still do that for some of the good news I get - results, pictures, videos. This first big increase that might surprise a few of you is just the getting going bumps.

There may also be some duplication between boards now and then, or because the program collects the same update twice. I'll try to keep this to a minimum.
