Time for another contest and I have a GREAT prize - a copy of the new all in one fishing log/tournament management PC program - The Angler's Genie - a $39.99 value. And all you have to do is make a couple guesses!

The challenge - guess what will be the first day cutoff weight for boaters in the Wal-Mart BFL super tournament next Saturday on the Detroit River. The cutoff weight is the weight necessary for the last boater to be eligible to fish the 2nd day on Sunday - the top 20% will go on to day 2.

The trick is to not go over the weight. The GreatLakesBass.com member closest to the boater cutoff weight in pounds and ounces without going over wins a copy of The Angler's Genie - courtesy of GreatLakesBass.com and Business Technology Integration - makers of The Angler's Genie.

Post your guesses (if you feel lucky) in pounds and ounces between now and midnight next Friday 9/8/06 to be eligible. If you want to be sneaky, pm me your guess by the same deadline, and I'll keep it private.

TIEBREAKER: If needed, a tiebreaker will be a 2nd guess - guess the winning weight for the co-angler in pounds and ounces without going over - that's the 2-day total weight. Winner will be announced on Monday, September 11, 2006.

Good Luck and let the contest begin!!!

I've received a few private message guesses too. Make sure you note that the TIEBREAKER is the WINNING weight for the co-angler so that would be the 2-day combined weight - if you guessed based on only the cutoff weight or 1-day weight for the co-angler by mistake, I'll allow you to clarify that and send me a new tiebreaker weight.

You can't change your boater cutoff guess once you've posted it or pm'd it to me.

I've already logged your guesses for boater cutoff weight in the 'official' contest log.

Cutoff weight = 17.85 lbs

coangler weight = 37.68 lbs

live2fish,
I converted your weights to 17-14 and 37-11 respectively (rounding to pounds and ounces since that is how the fish are weighed at BFL).

I'll just add in the conversion to everyone else's post who put in 100th's.
