Jeff Cheetam, Charlie Gabbeart and myself went on Sunday morning under the falling glow of the super moon. Great moon set and sunrise combination to start off the day.

Launched at Crocker and headed south to fish the mile roads and our first stop didn't look fishy as the water was really muddy. So further south. We could get to close to shore or it would muddy back up stayed in 7-10 FOW. Caught about 20 smallies... most on jerkbaits and a few on DS, cranks and tubes. Largest going about 5lbs with most in the fat 3lb range. Hooked 2 pike, couple rock bass and even a white bass.

It wasn't exactly a banner st. clair morning bite but it was active enough. Things died out in the are towards mid-morning. We headed a little more south and got another few fish to go.

Here is a picture of a smallie I caught that puked up one of the largest baitfish ( about a 6 inch perch) regurgitated I've ever seen. It was still kicking a little. I caught another one that choked up a 4 inch bass. It's no wonder large swimbaits will work for these fish.
