everyone is right, the fishing is on the slow side.  caught 30, only 3 over 3lbs.  some on tubes but the deal for me was a lucky craft staysee v2.  its a deep diving jerkbait and i think i was getting reaction bites from fish that were full of mayflies.  oh did i forget to mention them?  every fish caught today was puking mayflies all over.   the boat is a mess.  i think those full bellied fish had no interest in the tubes, but were willing to slap the slash bait.

all in all, a slow day on st clair is better than most good days inland.

fished the bays from metro to selfridge from friday night to saturday around noon the night bite was not very good. but after around 5 am this morning saw something i never imgained i would get into on st clair a largemouth frog bite. was awesome landed about 25 fish and had many more blow ups no big fish as most were cookie cutter fish but love watchin' em bust a frog.

How awesome is that?  Sounds like a blast.  I was just thinking the other day of how much fun it might be to put together a largemouth only tourney on St. Clair.  That frog bite sounds like a great time.

oh trust me rev nothing beats a frog bite cause they hit to kill man even the blow ups are exciting was using the booyah pad crasher awesome frog has the same action as most other frogs and is anywhere from 2 to 5 dollars less expensive.

I agree the Boohya is a good frog for the money. I bought one to try it and have liked it so far. I think it walks-the-dog very easy.

Bassin_Beags

Try the standard Spro popper.  Its the easiest walking frog and can spit and pop too.  Don't forget the Lake Fork trailer hook.  Although it hurts some of the walking action.

my partner tried the lake fork trailer hook beags and it cost him quite a few hook ups wasn't till after he took the trailer hook off that he started landing fish cause the trailer hook works better if the hit it from behind not from underneath.
