My father and I are coming up the 11th, and I have only been on the lake once before, and that was spring of 2010. We will be around the Selfridge area, was planning on staying there till I found out the lodging facility was closed, but was looking for any tips on areas to look for. Not looking to make a long run down to the Detroit river, but any info on Selfridge area or the Miles, or the Clinton river would be appreciated. Just out to have fun and hope to catch some quality bass. thanks for your time.

Make sure you browse through the prior Lake St. Clair fishing reports if you haven't yet. Lots of info there. You can use the search function to narrow down reports that mention Selfridge, Mile Roads and the Clinton River too.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

will do, thanks. My dad is a past president of Indiana Bass Federation, and he has been talking to one of the Michigan past presidents too and mentioned stopping by a couple shops, probably need to stock up on some goby dropshot baits as well. thanks again.

Had a great time this past week fishing with my dad. Thanks to Raisinrat and his fellow co-worker for the info and free coffee offer. Also met alot of other fishermen helpful to share what they might have found during the week, as well as share what info we had with them. Can't take my father anywhere in the midwest without running into someone he knows, as was the case at the hotel when 6 other guys where there he knows. Not a bad few days fishing. Not alot of numbers but the ones we did catch was of good size 16-21+ inches.Didnt have scales so we just measured them on an 18 inch golden rule and 5 of them went past the end of the board, with the largest being in the 21 1/2" range. Again thanks to all we met for the help and general conversation. As my dad says, "its all about fishing" and enjoying the outdoors. See you all in the spring thats for sure.

P.S.--Firefighter Jeff,   hope you had a good day yesterday, glad to meet you.

Hey Sparky !!!!  It was nice meeting you and your Dad !!!  I wasn't able to work out my plans with Golden Ghost for Friday.  I wass able to get out with Bassfan586 Brad on the rivers for just a few hours. we caught a few.  It was a tough couple days for me.
