On Hook n' Look Splash #14 our good friend Chris Sprangers accompanies Kim on a northern Wisconsin lake. They will use Humminbird Side-Imaging while idling over Rock Humps to find the productive Smallmouth bass areas.

This video focuses on explaining the shadows created by the Side-Imaging beam.  If you can understand the shadows they you will be able to tell what is a large rock or pile of rocks.  Then distinguish the bass holding around it.  We will use our unique underwater point of view to really show you the bottom content.

Enjoy  :o

I really liked this one! Makes me want to go fishing. ::)

I need all the help I can get trying to figure out what I'm looking at. All of these video's have helped me a lot. I just wish I could take them to the lake with me lol.

I really like this one too. The more I watch these videos the more I want to go buy a side imaging setup from humminbird

djkimmel

That was a very helpful video. I've been in a few boats this season with new 'side imagers' and have been asked about interpretation each time. I'm still learning myself.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Mike, you can take them to the lake. That is the miracle of cell phones. I know you always have the latest greatest of those. We usually have the same phone at some point.

Good Morning Guys,

Thanks for the great response on this video.  The Side-Imaging is a great tool when you can understand it.  Most people give up because it looks to complicated to understand but if you keep watching our video's and spend a little time on the water.  I know you will start to understand it.

These sgments are awesome. The side imaging is definitely tough to learn. If I remember correctly, didn't you say that you use the factory default settings?

DannyStricker

Default Settings - always start there... it is rare that we change anything except the SI distance.  Not that the other settings aren't important at times.  But don't worry about them until you are comfortable Side-Imaging with the Default.
