Jack,
Thanks for getting this started.  The only issues I'd have would be Sunday events.  I have to be back here at 2:30, showered and ready to go.  So Sundays for me are pretty much impossible.  If there's any chance we could avoid Sundays, I'd really appreciate it.  Also, let's make sure boaters especially can make the majority of the events so we don't end up with too many nonboaters per event.

What would be the start time for the events?? Also, i don't think i'll be able to make to meeting. Work sucks  :-\' Keep me posted.

Usually we go at first light.  But on Cass, we can't get in until 8 and on Kent, we can't get in until 7 (I think).  When we do the St. Clair events, I have a good size house with an extra room if it would help for you to come the evening prior since you have a long drive.  Something to keep in mind.  We're pretty flexible with start times... depends on when guys can get there.

I'm going to try and make 'em this year Tom.

I have a 16' Tracker. So, I can be a boater on Kent.

I know nothing about Cass.
I definately can't be a boater on Clair.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I have conflicting dates with the first two events. Baseball has tournaments both days. Of course they are the only two saturdays that we play  >:( The last four i might have to take you up on your offer Rev.

Let's keep looking at alternate dates then.  We should be getting other tourney schedules soon to start comparing to.

Fike, your boat is plenty big for Cass as well.  Cass is bigger than Kent, but nothing to worry about for a 16 footer.  Glad you'll be fishing with us this year!!!

I am excited to fish this year (more than last, for sure).

The June event on the 9th may conflict with a prior event going on that day for me.  And I fall into the Sunday category as well.  Other than that, I'm flexible.  And I agree with whoever said that we need to make sure that boaters can make these dates primarily first.  I'd hate to have a lot of nonboaters show up & have trouble trying to fish.

I won't be able to fish on April 14th, April 28th, May 19th, and May 12th. All other Saturdays are open for me. I appreciate you looking at my schedule. Getting excited already.

Everyone may know this already, but I believe June 16 is the US opener on St. Clair and June 23 is the Ontario opener.

I can do 4/28 from the looks of things - is that the Saturday opener?

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Sorry for the late reply, went up north to visit the in-laws Christmas day for a few days.

I'm going to be out of town on April 28th until May 7th so I know I won't be able to make it then. I'd really like to fish with Dan again but if no other dates work I guess it will have to be.  :(

Sundays are also tough for me to attend.  I can work with any Saturday we post as far as I know.  Working on a Saturday should be my only concern.  Unfortunately I will not know if we would be scheduled for a Saturday until the Thursday before.  I would post any conflicts as soon as I would know.  I am looking forward to fishing with everyone this season!  I see we may have some new members fishing with us as well!  It was a pleasure to meet the both of you at the DK Open and I look forward to fishing with you again!  ;D

At this time I know of no Saturday conflicts for me exept I want to fish the Fish N Friends event in August. (whever that is)  Dan posted it somewhere.  Other than that, I will have a camping trip scheduled this summer, but I don't know the dates yet, so once we get our schedule figured out, I'll try to work around it.  Same goes for my church annual men's fishing trip to Grindstone.  I'll wait to schedule that to see when our club is fishing.

Thanks Jack for helping to work on this.  U da man!

August 4 is the Fish N Friends event this year.

However, I will be away (as will some of the other guys in the club) August 3-4 for our church's annual trip to Grindstone City for a Salmon Charter.  Every year this is an awesome time. We spend the night on Friday in their cabins (playing cards and whatnot) and fish Saturday. We always limit out on Lakers and/or Salmon.  Then we have them cook some of it up at the restaurant that afternoon.  It's always a great time and all the guys in the club are welcome to join us.

But that presents another weekend that we probably can't schedule an event since I know of at least 3 other guys in the club who fish the Grindstone chater with us every year.

So let's see where we're at:
April
14th - Kid gone
21st - Will the CIR season be open on April 21?  This date might work. CASS - Dan Kimmel
28th - Dan Kimmel can do the 28th.  But Kid and Mark can't.  (how about 21st?)

May
5th - Mark gone
12th - DK OPEN St. Clair (most of us will be there) Maybe we count the DK as a club date?
19th - Kid gone
26th - is a holiday weekend since Memorial Day is on that Monday. St. Clair would be suicide.

June
2 -
9 - CLUB Kent
16 - (St. Clair opener)
23 -
30 -

July
7 -
14 - CLUB Cass ? (Instead of Sunday)
21 -
28 -

August
3 & 4 - Grindstone Trip so that won't work.
11
18 - CLUB St. Clair - Wayne Carpenter
25

Sept
1 - CLUB Kent - Brian McCarter
8 -
15 -
22 -
29 -

Thoughts guys?

Any dates are good for me, the work schedule is always up in the air though. I should be able to boat at Kent & Cass with my little 16'er. Thanks for putting this all together.

FOM has an event on Cass July 14, so that may not be the best date for Cass.

I look forward to fishing a few events with you guys this year!

I can do April 21st, for May it won't be a big deal if i wasn't tagging along, or if mark doesnt care then i'm open on the fifth, whatever is more convinient for the rest of the guys.  June 9th sounds good, July 14th or 7th are both fine. August 18th and September 1st are all fine.

I am going to make this easy for you guys. Whatever dates you schedule I will be there to fish. As for the FOM event on Cass lake, they didn't have really big turnouts last year so I don't think their presence should affect us (especially since we are non-competitive). Looking forward to actually catching some fish this year (something I struggled with last year). See you guys soon.
