Dan,
I am about as southwest as it gets, Benton Harbor so I don't know if that could work.

TCook, youll be glad that you made the trip when it's all over! We had a blast last year in the fall, and it looks like there is going to be a great turn out. Looking forward to seeing the pairings and gettin out there, I'll be the drowsy one just wakin up, Prom the previous night...gettin excited!

Dan

Hey Tim,
Lived in St. Joe from third to ninth grade. Off Langley Ave. by the hospital. I'll see you on the east side.

I scanned the postings and didn't notice what the cost of the tourny was. Also, will it be US water only?

Langer

See here for the cost: http://www.greatlakesbass.com/forum/index.php?topic=2415.0

I think Dan mentioned earlier that it would be Michigan waters only, Although if its just a paper Tournament not sure why we couldnt do Canada too? Wait then I would have to buy a Canadian lisence, forget my previous comment, I think Michigan waters only is a good idea!

Also the canadien season isn't open yet and they don't have a CIR season.
From posts I have seen I guess they can be real tough on you if they even think you are targeting Bass.  I think if we throw a fish on a Golden Rule they might get that idea.
I am kind of having the same problem.  I want to start looking around in the SC river for spots for the July BFL, but I would be afraid to throw a lure anywhere near the east bank.

Langer

Good point, I wasnt even thinking about their seasons, I was only thinking about the VHS stuff.

$5.00 entry and $2.00 big Bass? That will be the lowest donation I've ever made!! ;D

Dan- what's the boater/non-boater ratio now?  It seems like it is non-boater heavy...
Jeff

My intentions were to make it but I recently had motor problems and don't know if they will be resolved by then. One of my aerator pumps punked out too. When it rains it pours. The pump is on order but, I 've got to troubleshoot this outboard problem and get the boat to the water to confirm it's repaired by Saturday to make  the DK Open. I've had the boat out a couple of times, and then it started running funky with no power.  I can only idle.  I'll keep working at it. ???

ABA_Jaye

Ok, it only took me like 20 minutes to read all these posts and I just have a few questions.......How much is it to play? Who will be my partner? So count me in as a non boater. ALSO: can we have a "critter" pot. just to have something to bring to the scale? That way I can slap McCarter with my big nasty slimmy critter. Hey I have an idea............CAN I BE YOUR PARTNER DAN? *Raises hand and calls dibs on Dan* I want to find out all your secret hot spots and make Anthony pay for the info.

**Jaye

djkimmel

Anthony is way too good to need my spots... ;D

He is coming though since he's bringing the scales, bags and extra Golden Rules for a special price for boats that don't have one, right?

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Yes Anthony is comming to the tourny, and so am I.

Hey TCook,
If you want to drive over we could meet in Kalamazoo. Let me know.

Does anyone have the address, if there is one? I'm coming from Lansing and need directions.

Harley Ensign Memorial - Boating Access Site
Civil Division: Harrison Twp
County: Macomb
Coordinates: Lat:42.593262, Lon:-82.774731

Take the I-94 E ramp to Port Huron - go 7.3 mi
Take the Metropolitan Pky exit 236 - go 0.3 mi
Turn right at 16 Mile Rd/Metro Pky - go 2.6 mi
Turn left at Jefferson Ave - go 1.0 mi
Turn right at S River Rd - go 2.0 mi

This is a map route that I got off the MI DNR website. When you click on the link you will see a list of ramps. In the box with Harley Ensign you will see a tiny little box that says "map it." Click on that tiny box and it will take you to another page. In the right margin of that page you will see "Driving Directions." Clicking on this will take you to a page that you can enter your address in and get a door to ramp map.

Hope this helps.

Dan

Hey Kid,
I told TCook that I was available to meet him in Kzoo to drive over to the tournament, but I haven't heard from him. So, I will be coming from Grand Rapids through Lansing to head over Saturday. If you want to hook up and ride together let me know.

Dan, sorry about the slow response I must have missed the post last night. If they are non-boater heavy I don't want to cause any hassle due to my late addition. But if they need a non-boater and you still have room for me, im in. Anyways thanks for the offer, I think I will try to make the Fall tournament for sure.
