We had a great meeting at the Novi Ultimate Fishing Show Saturday morning - THANKS to every who attended - about 60 anglers listened to David Simmons FLW/TBF Programs Manager and Pat Kleppert of Ranger Boats talk about the support, present and future for The Bass Federation of Michigan.

We also heard briefly from Anthony Wright - Michigan BFL Tournament Director and met new TBF of Michigan sponsor to be Bob Luellen of Worldwide Marine Underwriters.

There'll be a full report on the meeting after the Novi show is over and I'm back home for a few days, but we picked up 2 clubs at the meeting and additional members in some of the existing clubs. We gave out information so far to 7 or 8 more clubs or new clubs too.

Just a reminder - our 1-day state championship is open to all members for 2007 - scheduled for Sunday, July 8, 2007 on Lake St. Clair out of Metro Beach. Clubs determine who are boaters and who are nonboaters - clubs must send an even number of boaters and nonboaters. The format is draw. Entry fee is $100.

The 13 angler state team from this event will fish their divisional this year in September out of Sandusky Bay, Ohio on Lake Erie.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

TBF Northern Divisional Championship - September 9 - 14, 2007 on Lake Erie out of Sandusky Bay hosted by the Ohio Bass Federation.

Remember the divisional involves 7 or so states - lots of schedules to work around.
