Before my knees wore out I use to run a lot. I believe I got that quote from a mileage log I was using. I don't recall who came up with the line, but I too have liked what it has to say. I'll have to go through my old logs and try and find its origin.

I really wished that we had a better way of getting the word out that we were trying to raise a little money for Dan.

What we did was ask people on the forum who would be interested in playing a little card game, and from that list we PMed them to let them know what we were doing.

From the replies, Brian's house was close to capacity, therefore we did not see the need to continue looking for more participants.

I really hope that did not hurt anyones feeling or makes them feel left out.

Again, Dan is such a great guy and we wanted to do a little something nice and even though he won't tell you where to send any money because he is just TOO modest. I on the other hand do not have a problem with it.

Come to think of it I think I saw Dan up on stage at the Novi show and when I went by the combat fishing booth he was there and when I went by the TBF booth he was there and when I went by the NBAA booth he was there. Just gets you thinking......

Sorry Dan I dont play poker so I didnt donate.   

I will however be making my donations at the DK opens.   I still think we should all chip in a coupe extra bucks at the tourney for him to put in the fund.  He's too modest to accept it so I think it would be in his best interest that we threaten to dump him out in the middle of the lake if he doesnt accept.  If he does accept, I'm not opposed to still dumping him in the middle of the lake just for giggles.
