I wish I knew. All I kept getting was "we know the SQL servers are not working... we are working as hard as we can to get them working again... as soon as possible..."

Four days later, finally working again although I'm still going through things that I see aren't back 100% or working like they should. I had to do an upgrade too so it's tricky to figure out which issue is being caused by the SQL server/database problems, and which might be the new files.

I have a couple solutions I'm working on. Hopefully, things will be a lot better long term shortly after this weekend.

It was ugly. Yuck!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I know I was going through withdrawls.  I would check it every day with hopes of being back online.  I have also had the Flu so I have been bored.

You missed it! I sat and wore out my mouse clicking, clicking, clicking....Uneasy and not knowing what else to do I started talking to my wife. Found out I have 3 kids.

I think the 'Found out I have 3 kids' line will be the GreatLakesBass.com quote of the week!

This was almost surreal. I do know there is an issue still with some of the boards not showing a new post indicator correctly. I may have to reset all posts to read this weekend and have everyone start from scratch to get this working right again.

If I do, it will be in conjunction with some late night downtime this weekend that will be required to transplant hosts for this web site. I don't think I could handle another crazy downtime like this, so I'm moving everything to a more business-oriented host that has a really good reputation for uptime and 24-7 service.

After that, I hope this episode will fade into the past quietly never to be experienced again...
